Setting Up Your Trezor Device: Desktop and Web Guide

1. Visit the Setup Page

Begin by opening your preferred web browser and navigating to Trezor.io/start. This page will guide you through the process of setting up your Trezor hardware wallet.

2. Choose Your Device

Once on the setup page, you'll need to select your specific Trezor device model (Trezor One or Trezor Model T). Click on the appropriate option to proceed with the setup instructions tailored to your device.

3. Download the Trezor Suite

For a seamless setup experience, download and install the Trezor Suite application. This software is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Trezor Suite provides a comprehensive interface for managing your cryptocurrency.

4. Connect Your Trezor Device

After installing Trezor Suite, connect your Trezor device to your computer using the provided USB cable. Make sure your device is securely connected before proceeding.

5. Initialize Your Trezor

When you first connect your Trezor device, you’ll be prompted to initialize it. This process involves setting up a PIN code and creating a recovery seed. Follow the instructions on both the Trezor device screen and within the Trezor Suite application.

6. Set Up a PIN Code

Your Trezor device will ask you to create a PIN code. This PIN is crucial for securing access to your device. Enter your desired PIN directly on the device’s screen. Confirm it as instructed.

7. Write Down Your Recovery Seed

The recovery seed is a series of words generated by your Trezor device. Write these words down on the provided recovery card and store it in a safe place. This seed is essential for recovering your funds if your device is lost or damaged.

8. Verify Your Recovery Seed

To ensure you’ve recorded the recovery seed correctly, Trezor will ask you to verify it. Follow the prompts to enter a few of the words from your recovery seed.

9. Complete the Setup

Once you’ve successfully verified your recovery seed, the setup process is complete. Your Trezor device is now ready for use. You can access and manage your cryptocurrencies through Trezor Suite.

10. Start Using Trezor Suite

Open the Trezor Suite application to begin using your Trezor device. Here, you can manage your cryptocurrency holdings, perform transactions, and access various features to secure and manage your digital assets.
